Region 9 –January Minutes

Region 9 held its monthly meeting on January 14, 2009 at 7:00PM with Region Director Russ Shetley presiding.

Clubs in Attendance:

· Bull Run

· Ebb Tide

· Bad News

· Red Eye

· Woodbridge

General Business:

· Tight Lines Web site is getting 2500 hits per day and has saved the Federation money.

· Region 9 lost 3 Clubs and the State has lost 14 Clubs this year

· Motion on the Floor at the State Level – The President or Vice-President can not hold office if they are a member of Federation nation.

· Ann is stepping down as the State Secretary. This is a salaried position and if anyone is interested please contact the President.

· Elections were held for Region Secretary and Assistant Director. Both positions were unaminous – Phil Durham is Assistant Director and Raleigh Oakes is Secretary.

Tournament News:

· Mr Bass 2009 – Smith Mt Lake – Lake Inn Motel on Rt 122 – April 4^th and 5^th

· State Tournaments – You can check in by phone or go to the Host Hotel and check in with Ann.
